Conrad Marketplace

Many of us know Conrad Electronic as a mail order company for resistors, transistors and the like. Since 2017, however, Conrad has also been active as a marketplace provider. Similar to Amazon, other sellers can also offer their products on the online platforms. As of August 2020, B2B and B2C customers had access to over 6 million items. In this article, you will learn how to become a seller on the Conrad Marketplace and gain access to up to 2.3 million B2B customers.

Conrad Electronic has been around since 1923 and is currently active in 16 countries across Europe, with 4000 employees and a turnover of 1.01 billion euros (2018).

In addition to the classic business in the online and retail stores, Conrad is increasingly positioning itself as a B2B marketplace and eProcurement provider. E-procurement solutions differ from online stores primarily in their deep technical integration on the buyer side. Instead of filling out procurement requests, employees select the products they need directly from the online store. The eProcurement solution, in this case the Conrad Marketplace, now offers additional functions for the release of orders by the purchasing department or even a fully automatic exchange of documents for the order, order confirmation, invoices and goods receipt. This significantly reduces routine tasks for the buyer. Especially for large customers, it makes sense to limit orders to a few permitted suppliers, which gives you access to buyers via Conrad that you would have difficulty reaching with your own stores.

How to sell on the Conrad Marketplace

Basically there are two ways:

• You become a supplier of Conrad Electronic and Conrad sells your products for you.
• You become a marketplace seller and sell your products on the marketplace yourself.

Selling as a Marketplace Seller

To become a marketplace seller yourself you have to provide Conrad with a data feed with your products. The heavendata platform already allows this with the free package.

• Import Euro product data to the heavendata platform or set up an automatic import from an existing system.
• Add the Conrad Marketplace as a new sales channel
